Bringing the whole family to the 2016 Boston Local Food Festival? The more the merrier! We have games and activities for everyone in our Family Fun Zone, located at the rings fountain across from the Aquarium T-Stop.
At the Family Fun Zone, you can activate your senses!
ChopChop Kids will be leading games of vegetable tic-tac-toe and demonstrating their Bicycle Blender machine. The Trustees will be bringing along again Chestnut Hill Farm’s friendly milking goats for everyone to meet! But we can’t give everything away, so keep your eyes peeled for a sensational activities by our generous partner, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, coming soon!
Looking to get more hands on? Join the New England Aquarium at their Tidal-pool Touch Tank to learn more about the amazing sea creatures that swim in our oceans. Or head over to the Cambridge Science Festival tents to join in on their fun interactive technology.
Want to get your daily workout in? Well, lucky for you Bollywood Dance Workout with Shikha is coming back for another fun and family friendly dance session, so go shake it up and learn some new moves!
And be sure to chill out and grab a cool new look before heading home, courtesy of our good friend Angela of Painting as Art and Ritual, who will be back transforming faces into superheros, animals, whimsical creatures and maybe even some adorable vegetables with her incredible face-painting skills!
We at Sustainable Business Network certainly have a love affair with local food (jeez, that’s why we throw a whole day festival for it!), but a celebration is not a celebration without fun for everyone! The Family Fun Zone will be up and running throughout the day at Rings Fountain – located on the Rose Kennedy Greenway just beside Milk St and across from the Aquarium T stop.
We certainly want to make sure you can get all your shopping done, but stick around, grab a schedule (coming soon on the Boston Local Food Festival website), and participate in some of these amazing activities!
After all, it is a celebration!
